Castleford Tigers completed an extraordinary comeback to beat league leaders Leeds Rhinos 36-34 in a thrilling West Yorkshire derby at One Bore Stadium. The Tigers came from 16 points down to claim just their second victory in seven matches, scoring 13 tries in a see-saw battle that moved them above York Knights and Bradford Bulls into 10th spot.

Leeds opened with four first-half tries, including a spectacular 80-metre effort from Maika Sivo, to lead 20-6. Castleford responded through Mikaele Ravalawa, Ashton Golding, and Jason Qareqare to trail by four at half-time. The match was overshadowed when Leeds hooker Daniel Levi suffered a serious neck injury requiring 15 minutes of treatment and hospitalisation.

Castleford surged after the break with tries from Daejarn Asi, Qareqare again, and Fletcher Ashworth. Tom Weaver's six goals proved decisive. Leeds coach Brad Arthur criticised his side's defensive attitude, while Castleford's Ryan Carr praised his players' belief amid adversity, including late lineup changes and injuries.
