Raúl Jiménez marked his return to Wolves by scoring a penalty in the third minute of stoppage time to rescue a 2-2 draw against Blackburn in the Championship curtain-raiser at Molineux. The draw was a late rescue act for Wolves and their new head coach Cesar Peixoto in his first league game.

Blackburn had taken the lead through Andri Gudjohnsen early in the second half, after Sean Mc Loughlin had cancelled out Marshall Munetsi's opener. Ryan Alebiosu's handball led to the late penalty after Jackson Tchatchoua's cross.

Jiménez, who came off the bench for his first league game in three years following a free transfer, kept his cool to convert the penalty. The 35-year-old striker sent goalkeeper Balazs Hoth the wrong way to snatch a point for the home side.
