Mason Greenwood, the 24-year-old forward currently contracted with Marseille until 2029, stands at a transfer crossroads, with both Fenerbahce and Atlético Madrid agreeing to terms for his potential move. Sources indicate Greenwood leans towards a return to Madrid, where he previously played for Getafe.

Fenerbahce has reportedly agreed to a deal worth €42 million ($48m) plus bonuses, with Marseille receiving €28 million ($32m) and Manchester United securing 35% of the fee, totaling €14 million ($16m). Atlético Madrid's offer is slightly higher at €45 million ($51.3m) plus bonuses, allocating €29.3 million ($33.4m) to Marseille and €15.7 million ($18m) to United. Greenwood has agreed to personal terms with both clubs, with potential annual net salaries ranging from €7-8 million ($8-9m) at Fenerbahce to €5-6 million ($5.7-6.8m) at Atlético.

Greenwood's tenure at Marseille, which began in July 2024 for over €26 million ($29.6m), has been marked by off-field issues, including lateness and missed commitments. Despite this, he contributed 23 goals across all competitions last season. His decision, expected within two days, will shape Marseille's transfer strategy and Atlético's attacking options.
