LSU Completes 105-Man Roster Without Ex-NFL Players

LSU has finalized its 105-man roster for the 2026 season by adding cornerback Aidan Anding and defensive end Gabriel Reliford, sources told ESPN's Pete Thamel on Tuesday. The decision eliminates the possibility of adding former NFL rookies Dae'Quan Wright and Zxavian Harris, who were cleared by a Louisiana judge last week to return for a fifth year of eligibility and transfer to LSU after signing as undrafted free agents.

Both Wright and Harris played for coach Lane Kiffin at Ole Miss last year. Attorney Ryan Downton, representing the players, said they are considering legal options after LSU declined to roster them. The SEC filed a federal lawsuit against LSU last week over the potential additions and amended it Tuesday, scheduling a Thursday meeting for presidents and chancellors to vote on terminating LSU's membership.

Kiffin said Saturday the decision was made for the "big picture of LSU" given the "uncertainties" of potential penalties. Judge William Jorden's preliminary injunction prohibited the NCAA and SEC from punishing schools that play the 42 athletes who successfully sued in Louisiana court. Downton had threatened contempt proceedings if LSU did not add Wright and Harris.
