Fenerbahce has secured the signing of English forward Mason Greenwood from Marseille on a four-year contract, with the transfer fee reported as 39 million euros (£33.27m). Greenwood joins Fenerbahce after a successful spell at Marseille, where he netted 16 goals in the 2025-26 Ligue 1 season, finishing joint-second in the golden boot standings.

Both presidential candidates for Fenerbahce, Aziz Yildirim and Hakan Safi, had expressed interest in Greenwood prior to the club's elections. Greenwood, who scored 48 goals in 81 appearances for Marseille, transferred from Manchester United in July 2024 for £26.6m. Manchester United had reportedly negotiated a significant sell-on fee, estimated at around 40%, for the player.

Greenwood's move to Fenerbahce comes after he spent the 2023-24 season on loan at Spanish club Getafe. Fenerbahce, who finished as runners-up in the Turkish Super Lig for the fifth consecutive season, are set to compete in the Champions League qualifiers against Gornik Zabrze.
