Casemiro has officially joined Inter Miami on a free transfer after his departure from Manchester United. The Brazil international has agreed to a contract that extends through the 2027 MLS season, with an option to prolong it until 2029.

Casemiro spent four seasons at Old Trafford, contributing to a League Cup final victory in 2023 and reaching two FA Cup finals, winning one in 2024. He was also part of the squad that reached the Europa League final in May 2025. The 34-year-old midfielder joined United in August 2022.

Manchester United opted not to extend his contract, a decision reportedly made well before the season's conclusion. The Red Devils have since added midfielders Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans and are reportedly seeking a third midfield signing. Casemiro experienced a resurgence in his final 18 months at United, becoming a key player and finishing his last season with his most prolific goal-scoring campaign, netting nine times.
