The Ottawa Charge are exploring a potential partnership with the NHL's Ottawa Senators to play home games at the Canadian Tire Centre beyond this season. PWHL senior VP Amy Scheer confirmed constructive discussions are underway as renovations at TD Place will reduce capacity by about 2,000 seats, making it financially unfeasible for the women's hockey team to remain.

The Charge have averaged about 7,000 fans per game over their first two seasons, with attendance reaching 7,225 this year. The aging TD Place currently seats about 8,500 for hockey but will drop to approximately 5,700 after renovations, plus 900 standing-room spots. The PWHL has already scheduled a Charge-Montreal game at the Senators' arena for April 3, which is selling well according to Scheer.

Senators owner Michael Andlauer and president Cyril Leeder have been receptive to the discussions, with Scheer describing Leeder as "a gem to work with." The Senators' current home sits about 40 minutes from downtown Ottawa, though the organization is planning a new downtown arena. The Charge were one of the PWHL's original six franchises and have played at TD Place for their first three seasons.
