Nashville added former Bruins executive Jamie Langenbrunner to its front office, naming him special assistant to new general manager Chris Mac Farland. The 50‑year‑old, a Hall of Famer, will steer professional scouting, collegiate free‑agent recruiting, and other assignments for the Nashville Predators. Langenbrunner brings 18‑year NHL experience in the coming season to sharpen their draft pipeline.

Langenbrunner’s résumé includes 243 goals scored with Dallas, New Jersey and St. Louis and two Stanley Cups in 1999 and 2003. After hanging up his skates in 2013, he served the Bruins for more than a decade in roles ranging from development coach to assistant GM. His Olympic captaincy earned the U.S. a silver medal in 2010, cementing his place in the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame.

The Predators aim to boost their talent pipeline by tapping Langenbrunner’s eye for potential. His dual experience as a player and executive positions him to spot future stars in college and international leagues. The move signals Nashville’s intent to build a competitive roster that can challenge the Western Conference’s top teams in the 2026‑27 season.

With Langenbrunner on board, the Predators can deepen scouting networks across North America and beyond. His proven track record in player development will complement Mac Farland’s modern front‑office approach. Nashville’s front office now has a seasoned eye to guide the club toward a playoff berth and, ultimately, a championship run in the next three years.
