The New York Islanders have announced "Navy Lighthouse" as the winning concept for their 2027-28 third jersey after a historic fan vote. The franchise sifted through 80,490 submissions — the first time an NHL team has let fans directly choose a uniform design.

New York will now partner with Fanatics to transform the digital concept into an official on-ice sweater, with plans to review additional fan ideas to refine the final product while maintaining the design's integrity and meeting league standards.

The winning designer will receive a team-signed jersey and tickets to the debut game. Islanders president of business operations Kelly Cheeseman said the contest aimed to "break down traditional barriers, giving the fans a direct voice in shaping our new look," adding the organization is excited to create a uniform the fanbase will be proud to call theirs.
