Alabama guard Aden Holloway will not travel with the Crimson Tide to Chicago for the Sweet 16 despite a judge granting his request to accompany the team. The school confirmed Holloway remains banned from all team activities, even after Judge Joanne M. Jannik approved his travel request. Holloway's absence continues as Alabama faces Michigan without its second-leading scorer.

Holloway was arrested earlier this month when authorities found 2.1 pounds of marijuana in his apartment, leading to felony drug possession and tax stamp charges. Both felonies carry up to 10 years in prison and a $15,000 fine. The Office of the District Attorney for Tuscaloosa opposed his travel request, though the judge allowed it. Holloway has been barred from campus since his arrest.

Alabama dominated the first two tournament rounds without Holloway, scoring 90 points in both wins and outscoring opponents by 45 combined points. Latrell Wrightsell stepped up with 17.5 points per game in Holloway's absence. The Crimson Tide's ability to advance without their key player demonstrates their depth as they prepare for the Michigan matchup.
