"I know it probably is [my last start]," said the 30-year-old Peralta, who is a free agent this offseason. "But I have to focus and keep giving the best of myself. And if it happens, it happens. I'm thankful and grateful to be part of this organization. I know that, so far, I've let them down."

Peralta's performance, allowing three runs over four innings, illustrated his disappointing season. However, his track record, including a two-time All-Star selection and a strong 2023 with the Brewers, may still make him attractive to contending clubs before the Aug. 3 trade deadline.
