NHL Player Signings and Extensions

The NHL offseason continues to heat up with several significant player transactions. Patrick Kane is set to begin a second stint with the Chicago Blackhawks, agreeing to a two-year deal worth an average annual value of $8 million returns to Chicago. In St. Louis, the Blues have locked up forward Connor McMichael with a six-year contract totaling $40.5 million signed to a six-year deal. Defenseman Jamie Drysdale has also secured a new deal, agreeing to a four-year contract with the Philadelphia Flyers worth $26 million agreed to terms. Further west, the Utah Mammoth have extended defenseman John Marino with an eight-year, $54 million deal inked to an extension. In net, the Columbus Blue Jackets have signed goaltender Jet Greaves to a three-year, $15 million contract through the 2028-29 season signed to a three-year deal.

League Production and Offseason Moves

The NHL will be taking over television production for several teams this upcoming season, including the Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes, Columbus Blue Jackets, Minnesota Wild, and St. Louis Blues. Meanwhile, the offseason trade season is officially underway, with ESPN providing grades for the general managers involved in all the major swaps. The Miami Heat's late-night social media activity also sparked some humor, leading to jokes from the Winnipeg Jets.
