Flyers, Jamie Drysdale agree to $26M deal

The Philadelphia Flyers have signed defenseman Jamie Drysdale to a four-year contract extension worth $26 million. The deal carries an annual cap hit of $6.5 million and runs through the 2029-30 NHL season.

"We're excited to have Jamie remain a key part of our organization for years to come," said Flyers general manager Daniel Briere. "Since we acquired him, Jamie has worked extremely hard and taken big steps in his development, and has established himself as a reliable piece on our back end with the ability to impact the game in all situations."

The 24-year-old Drysdale recorded a career-high eight goals and matched his career best with 32 points in his second full season with Philadelphia, averaging over 21 minutes of ice time in 78 games. He also contributed two goals and two assists in 10 playoff games. Drysdale has accumulated 25 goals and 77 assists across six NHL seasons with both the Flyers and the Anaheim Ducks.
