Reds right-hander Hunter Greene will undergo season-ending UCL surgery after a second opinion, sidelining him through at least the 2026 season. Two-time All-Star and former batting champion Tim Anderson announced his retirement after 10 major league seasons. The Rays placed reliever Griffin Jax on the 15-day IL with right elbow discomfort. Marlins first baseman Kyle Stowers exited Sunday’s 12-3 win over the Angels with a left hamstring strain and will undergo further evaluation. The NL Central-leading Brewers placed shortstop Cooper Pratt on the IL with a strained right hamstring, testing their infield depth.

Athletics shortstop Jacob Wilson set an MLB record for his position, playing his 111th consecutive errorless game and surpassing Mike Bordick’s previous mark. Braves ace Chris Sale was ejected before throwing a pitch in Sunday’s 2-1 win over the Yankees, still fuming over a balk call from the prior day.
