Tru Temp Services, a residential HVAC, plumbing and electrical platform backed by Centre Partners and Baldwin Creek Partners, has acquired D&D HVAC and Sandhills Heating & Refrigeration, deepening its presence in North Carolina. No financial terms were disclosed.

D&D HVAC, founded in 2006 and based in Sanford, provides HVAC installation, replacement, maintenance and repair services to property owners, homebuilders and general contractors. Sandhills Heating & Refrigeration, founded in 1976 in Aberdeen, offers HVAC and electrical replacement, installation, maintenance and repair, with longstanding relationships with custom homebuilders and property owners.

The deals follow Tru Temp's 2025 acquisition of Maynor Service Company. Headquartered in Apex, North Carolina, Tru Temp now has a connected footprint stretching from Raleigh, Apex and Durham through Sanford and Aberdeen, expanding its recurring customer base. The company aims to scale across the Southeast by partnering with local businesses.

Jeff Bartoli, senior partner at Centre Partners, said D&D and Sandhills are important additions that represent continued execution of the strategy set out at the company's formation: building a scaled Field Services platform across the Southeast through organic growth and strategic acquisitions. Dairus Davis of D&D and Bradford Hainley of Sandhills will continue to lead their respective businesses under Tru Temp.
