Thermal Concepts, a PE-backed HVAC services provider, has acquired Hunter Mechanical, a Newport News, Virginia-based firm specializing in commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and food service equipment. The acquisition marks Thermal Concepts’ first move into the Mid-Atlantic region, expanding its footprint in the Southeast. Hunter Mechanical, founded in 2009, offers maintenance, repair, and installation services for HVAC systems and food service equipment.

Both companies operate in the commercial sector, with Thermal Concepts headquartered in Davie, Florida, and Hunter Mechanical serving businesses across Virginia and neighboring states. The deal highlights Thermal Concepts’ strategic push to diversify its service offerings and strengthen its presence in the Mid-Atlantic market.
