Gryphon Investors-backed Southern Home Services has acquired Dunn's HVAC, Plumbing & Electrical, an Anniston, Alabama home service company founded in 2014. The acquisition strengthens Southern's presence in Alabama and adds another high-growth metro area to its Southeast footprint.

The deal, whose financial terms were not disclosed, marks Southern Home Services' continued expansion as a consolidator of residential HVAC, plumbing, and electrical businesses. Based in Maitland, Florida, the company operates multiple business centers across the Southeast.

Jarrod Brinker, Southern's chief strategy officer, emphasized the strategic importance of the Alabama market, noting that partnering with Dunn's allows for thoughtful expansion while maintaining the company's commitment to reliable, high-quality service. The acquisition reflects ongoing consolidation trends in the fragmented home services industry.
