IFM Investors has named Michael Kulper head of infrastructure for North America, succeeding Julio Garcia, who is retiring after more than 18 years. Garcia will step down from executive responsibilities after a transition period and continue as a member of IFM's investment committee. Kulper, who joined IFM in 2013, has led the origination of the firm's toll road portfolio with a net asset value of about $28 billion.

He previously built Transurban's North America business and has mentored several current IFM leaders. "He has helped build our presence in North America, led major investments and has been instrumental in establishing IFM as a respected global infrastructure investor," said Kyle Mangini, global head of infrastructure at IFM.
