BGF has exited its investment in bf1systems, selling the Norfolk-headquartered motorsport technology company to Lagercrantz Group. BGF invested £2.4 million in June 2019 as a minority shareholder.

Since then, bf1systems has increased annual revenue to £17.8 million in the year to January 2026, while deepening relationships with motorsport brands including McLaren, Lamborghini and Porsche. BGF also backed bf1systems' acquisitions of KA Sensors and VPG Sim to expand its product range.

Founded in 1994 and headquartered in Diss, Norfolk, bf1systems designs high-precision components for motorsport, automotive and aerospace industries. Its tire pressure monitoring technology, used across Formula 1, Indy Car and the World Endurance Championship, earned a King's Award for Enterprise. Grant Thornton UK advised on the transaction.
