Amazon Devices & Alexa Tablets

Amazon has been on a steady drumbeat of announcements this month, and its latest is a new lineup of Alexa tablets that includes a 12-inch model with an anti-glare display. The company is now giving its Alexa tablets full Google Play access, a notable shift that lets users run Android apps across the range. Hands-on impressions of the flagship Alexa Tablet 12 Pro suggest it is aiming squarely at the iPad Pro while starting at about $500. For buyers weighing an upgrade, a comparison of the 12 Pro against the Fire HD 10 lays out what has changed. Panos Panay also teased additional Alexa-branded devices and a new design language, and a roundup of everything Amazon has announced in October shows how packed the month has been. Separately, the Alexa tablet series runs Android and doubles as a home for Kindle readers, while kids' versions come in two sizes with bundled cases and subscriptions. Amazon also unveiled kids tablets in those two sizes. Deal-hunters should note that Amazon cut $450 off the Galaxy S26 Ultra during Prime Big Deal Days, undercutting Samsung's recent price increase.

Motorola has begun rolling out Android 17 to the Razr Ultra 2026.
