Samsung is rolling out AirDrop compatibility to Galaxy S26 devices this week through its Quick Share feature. The update allows S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra owners to share files directly with iPhones and Macs by enabling a new 'Share with Apple devices' toggle in Quick Share settings.

According to Samsung's newsroom announcement, the rollout begins today in Korea and will expand to U.S. devices later this week. The feature will eventually reach more regions including Canada, Latin America, Europe, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, Japan, and Taiwan. Users must manually enable the functionality in their phone's settings.

This follows Google's November announcement of Quick Share compatibility with AirDrop on Pixel phones, initially limited to Pixel 10 devices but later expanded to Pixel 9 models. The move represents growing cross-platform file-sharing compatibility between Android and Apple ecosystems, though Apple could theoretically modify AirDrop to limit third-party access.
