Apple rolled out significant price increases across its product lineup this week, citing unavoidable memory and storage chip cost pressures. CEO Tim Cook warned The Wall Street Journal that DRAM and flash storage costs could quadruple by fall, forcing hikes ranging from $30 on HomePod mini to $1,300 on Mac Studio. These increases averaged $246.67 across affected products, leaving only iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch lines untouched.

The iPhone 18 Pro faces similar pressure, with TechInsights projecting a $270 price bump needed to maintain margins. However, Apple's standardized pricing strategy suggests a $1,299 starting price, while camera upgrades could push it toward $1,399 or higher—a $200-300 increase over the current model. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo notes the new camera system alone costs 50% more than its predecessor.

Apple's first foldable iPhone Ultra appears on track for September debut despite earlier delay rumors. The device will reportedly feature a 7.8-inch inner display, A20 chip, and $2,000+ starting price, alongside the standard iPhone 18 lineup. Apple Watch Ultra 4 and Series 12 are also expected later this year with faster processors.

Camera-equipped AirPods have slipped to 2027 due to Apple's AI development challenges. These stem-mounted cameras won't capture photos but will feed environmental data to Siri for object recognition and contextual assistance. A privacy indicator light will show when cameras are active.
