Apple Products Likely Facing Price Hikes Next Month

Following a recent price increase across many of its product lines, Apple is expected to implement further price hikes next month, potentially impacting the upcoming iPhone 18 lineup, Apple Watch, and AirPods. Earlier this summer, Macs, iPads, Apple TVs, HomePods, and the Vision Pro saw price increases, with CEO Tim Cook having warned of such changes. The initial wave notably spared the iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods.

Analysts anticipated that these spared products would eventually face higher prices, and current expectations point to the iPhone 18 event in September as the likely timing for these increases. Rumors suggest the iPhone 18 Pro could see a price jump to the $1,299-$1,399 range, up from the $1,099 of the iPhone 17 Pro. Unlike previous years, older iPhone models may not see price drops and could remain the same or increase slightly.

Additionally, the Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 are considered candidates for price adjustments due to component cost increases related to memory. While AirPods are less likely to be affected by memory and storage cost hikes, a broader price increase across Apple's lineup could include them. The September event is the anticipated venue for any further price change announcements.
