BenQ today announced the iScreenBar, the first monitor light bar designed specifically for the iMac. The aluminum device extends the iMac's aesthetic while providing desk lighting that doesn't interfere with the camera or microphone. It illuminates a 33.5 by 19.7-inch area at 500 lux and features a glass touch panel and macOS app for adjusting brightness, color temperature, and light modes.

The bar uses presence detection to automatically turn on and off, syncs with the iMac's wake state, and adapts to room lighting conditions. In video call mode, it evens facial lighting and reduces screen glare. Mounting via magnetic clamp, it includes a cable clip for cord management and draws power from the iMac's USB-C port.

Asymmetric optics prevent screen reflection and eye strain. Available from BenQ or Amazon for $189, it's compatible with the 24-inch iMac (2021 and later).
