Apple is reportedly planning to introduce 14-inch and 16-inch OLED touchscreen MacBook Pro models by late 2026 or early 2027. A new report from South Korea's The Elec indicates that Samsung Display will be the exclusive supplier for these OLED panels.

This decision marks a significant shift, as earlier rumors suggested LG Display might also be a supplier. LG reportedly proposed using its sixth-generation OLED line, while Samsung offered its more efficient 8.6-generation OLED line. This technological advantage is believed to have swayed Apple's decision to grant Samsung exclusivity.

The report estimates that Samsung will provide approximately 2.5 million OLED display units for these upcoming MacBooks. Furthermore, Samsung is also expected to be the sole OLED panel supplier for the anticipated iPhone Ultra.
