Apple is planning a significant refresh of its Mac lineup throughout 2026 and 2027, driven by demand for AI capabilities and ongoing chip development. Despite memory chip shortages impacting the industry, Apple is strategically positioning its upcoming models.

Upcoming releases include the 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M6 chip in Fall 2026, alongside an updated 24-inch iMac, also likely featuring the M6 chip. Late 2026 to early 2027 could see the debut of an OLED MacBook Pro, utilizing M5 Pro and M5 Max chips due to the absence of M6 Pro/Max variants. Refreshed Mac Studio and Mac mini models with M5 series chips are also anticipated, though launch timing remains uncertain.

By 2027, refreshed 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models with M6 chips are expected. An entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M7 chip is slated for early 2027, featuring a design overhaul but no OLED display. A new MacBook Neo with an A19 Pro chip is also in development. Looking further ahead, a second-generation OLED MacBook Pro is anticipated for late 2027 to early 2028, equipped with M7 Pro and M7 Max chips. Apple also plans to introduce OLED displays to the MacBook Air and iMac around 2028.
