Double Fine's Kiln launches April 23 on Xbox Series X/S, PC, Xbox Cloud, PlayStation 5, and Steam. The studio follows up on 2025's *Keeper* with this quirky multiplayer online pottery brawler that was first revealed during Xbox's Developer Direct stream in January. The game will be Handheld Optimized from launch, making it perfect for portable play.

In Kiln, players shape clay vessels on a virtual pottery wheel, with size and form affecting health, water capacity, and speed. Smaller pots attack faster while larger ones pack more power. The vessel's shape determines special abilities, while decorations remain purely cosmetic. The $20 base game includes a $30 'Fired Up' edition with premium cosmetics and in-game currency.

Quench mode pits teams of four against each other in MOBA-like matches where players gather water to extinguish opponents' kilns three times. Maps feature creative elements like sponge barriers and disco dance floors that force players to groove on flashing squares. An open beta runs April 9-11 on Steam, with pre-orders opening simultaneously. The game launches without voice chat, though players can use Discord or console party features for communication.
