Double Fine revealed Kiln, an "online multiplayer pottery party brawler" following last year's atmospheric adventure *Keeper*. Founder Tim Schafer introduced the project during an Xbox Developer Direct, emphasizing the studio's signature colorful and clever design philosophy.

Kiln merges two distinct phases: vessel creation and competitive destruction. Players design ceramic pieces with realistic wheel-throwing mechanics, then enter "Quench" matches. This capture-the-flag mode tasks teams with carrying water to douse enemy kilns, while different vessel types offer unique offensive and defensive capabilities.

Launching spring 2026, Kiln will release on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Steam. It will also be available through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Cloud Gaming, expanding Double Fine's reach across platforms and subscription services.
