Death Stranding 2 PC Specs Revealed: GTX 1660 Minimum

Sony has revealed the PC requirements for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, launching March 19. The minimum specs are surprisingly accessible, with the low graphics preset running on an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 or AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT 8GB at 1080p and 30 frames per second.

While the baseline performance is modest, Hideo Kojima is known for visual spectacle, so higher settings will demand more powerful hardware. The game introduces Pico upscaling technology, developed by Guerilla Games, marking its PC debut after debuting on PlayStation 5. This upscaler promises enhanced performance without sacrificing visual quality.

Death Stranding 2 also brings extensive ultrawide support, with cutscenes viewable at 21:9 and gameplay at 32:9 aspect ratios. The feature works on both PC and PS5 versions without requiring an ultrawide monitor. These technical additions, combined with reasonable minimum requirements, suggest Kojima Productions aims to make their ambitious sequel accessible to a broad PC audience while pushing visual boundaries for those with high-end systems.
