Indie publisher Balor Games has acquired over 50 titles from Humble Games' back catalog in a deal that reunites former Humble leaders with their old studio's library. The acquisition, led by former Humble executives Alan Patmore and Mark Nash, also includes the complete catalog of Firestoke Games and publishing rights to *Fights in Tight Spaces*, bringing Balor's total portfolio to more than 60 indie titles.

This move comes after a turbulent period for Humble Games, which saw Ziff Davis lay off all 36 employees in July 2024. Patmore and Nash had previously formed Good Games Group to help manage the catalog, and now they've fully acquired the library as Ziff Davis shifts its focus. The newly renamed Balor Games positions itself as a "triple-I" publisher, emphasizing high-quality indie games with budgets between small passion projects and AAA titles.

Balor's lineup includes popular indie hits like *Slay the Spire*, *A Hat in Time*, *SIGNALIS*, and *Coral Island*. The company aims to be a "seal of quality" for independent games, with Nash explaining they'll match publishing support to each developer's specific needs. The name "Balor" references Irish mythology's three-eyed giant, a nod to their triple-I focus.
