Sony has introduced the new Play Station Pulse and Pulse Edge wireless headsets, both featuring planar magnetic drivers and Play Station Link connectivity.

Play Station Link delivers ultra-low latency audio and seamless switching between devices including the PS5, the Play Station Portal, PC and Mac. The headsets can also connect via Bluetooth. Integrated mics use AI-enhanced noise rejection to filter background noise.

Sony says the drivers make directional cues easier to pinpoint, such as footsteps in first-person shooters. The Pulse Edge has double the magnets of the Pulse for deeper bass, plus active noise cancellation and a detachable boom mic for clearer voice chat.

Neither model is available for purchase yet, though the Pulse Edge is expected to be pricier. The Play Station Pulse Elite currently sells for $149 on Amazon, while the Play Station version of the newer Audeze Maxwell 2, unveiled at CES 2026, costs $329.
