Rebellion's Atomfall is getting the TV treatment. The 2025 action survival RPG, which won British Game of the Year at the BAFTA Game Awards, is being adapted into a television series. The game draws heavily from British culture, weaving in references to Doctor Who, the legend of Excalibur, James Bond, The Chronicles of Narnia and The Wicker Man.

Set in the 1960s after a nuclear disaster creates a quarantine zone in England's Lake District, players wake up in a bunker with no memory and must escape while encountering offbeat characters. The game has pulled in more than 3.7 million players to date. According to a press release, the adaptation will expand on the game's mythology while remaining faithful to its tone, themes and British roots.

Developer Rebellion, also known for the Sniper Elite series, is co-producing with Two Brothers Pictures. Series writers Harry and Jack Williams, previously behind Fleabag and Call the Midwife, are attached. No release date or platform has been announced. The project joins a wave of indie game adaptations, with TV versions of Pacific Drive, Dredge, Sifu, Overcooked and Vampire Survivors also in the works.
