An Apple services outage on Tuesday, August 18, disrupted multiple key platforms, including iCloud, Game Center, and Find My. The issues began around 3:30 PM Eastern Time, affecting users' ability to sync contacts, calendars, photos, and emails via iCloud, as well as access iWork for iCloud.

Gamers using Game Center on iOS and macOS experienced difficulties syncing achievements and game scores. Meanwhile, Find My was also impacted, making it challenging for users to locate their iPhones, iPads, or Macs during the outage.

Developers relying on the Apple News API and News Publisher may have encountered related problems. Additionally, Xcode Cloud experienced a separate outage starting at 3:59 PM ET.

Apple's System Status page confirmed that all affected services, including iCloud, Game Center, Find My, and Xcode Cloud, resumed normal operation by 5:38 PM ET. The company updated its status report at approximately 7:47 PM ET, confirming that all reported outages and issues had been fully resolved.
