Xiaomi's upcoming Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max may have just been certified for sale in China. Both devices support 100W wired charging and feature UWB technology. They are expected to launch in China in September and are likely to be the first phones to use Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro So C.

According to Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the duo will offer improved screens, cameras, performance, and peripherals. However, the vanilla Xiaomi 18 won't be joining them. Xiaomi is rumored to be emulating Apple's strategy, this time focusing on release timing.

The Xiaomi 18 is now rumored to arrive in December, possibly alongside the 18 Max. Thus, the 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max will be the only devices to become official in September in China. The larger device may receive a global launch after that.

The Pro Max could become Xiaomi's top-tier device for some time, especially if rumors about the Xiaomi 18 Ultra's cancellation prove true.
