Samsung Pushes One UI 9 Beta to Galaxy S26 Users

Samsung has launched the One UI 9 beta, letting Galaxy S26 owners preview Android 17. The program rolls out first in Germany, India, Korea, Poland, the UK and the US through the Samsung Members app. Early access signals Samsung’s push to deliver new software before the wider One UI 8.5 rollout.

One UI 9 brings a suite of tweaks. Samsung Notes now offers decorative tapes and new pen styles, while the Quick Panel separates brightness, sound, and media controls for independent adjustment. The Contacts app links directly to Creative Studio, enabling custom profile cards without juggling apps, though Creative Studio still requires a separate install and Samsung Account login for users today.

Security receives a boost as One UI 9 actively blocks high‑risk apps. When suspicious activity is detected, the system warns, blocks execution and installation, and recommends deletion, tightening the device’s defense layer. Accessibility gains include adjustable mouse‑key speed and a combined TalkBack package, while Text Spotlight enlarges selected text in a floating window for easier reading on mobile screens today again.

With the beta program now live, Samsung’s early‑access strategy seeks to satisfy S26 owners craving fresh Android 17 features while avoiding past rollout delays. The rollout’s success will hinge on how quickly beta users report bugs and how smoothly Samsung translates those findings into a stable update. The outcome will determine whether Samsung can regain trust among its premium customer base today.
