Google Health is rolling out v5.07 to Android and iOS users late this week, bringing a major update to manual workout logging. Users can now add or adjust metrics more easily, and changes will appear in post-workout summaries quicker. Other updates include trail run and incline data in Running Distance totals, a fix for Maps in the Health app, and more.

The company detailed v5.07 in a community post this morning (Aug 28). This update brings three important Activity and Fitness updates, including improved manual workout logging. Google says users can now add and adjust more metrics when logging an exercise manually, and edits should appear more quickly in workout summaries.

Additionally, Google Health now lets users add more metrics when switching from pool swimming to open swim exercises. The maps experience has been upgraded for outdoor activities, with faster loading times and smoother rendering. The patch also fixes a bug where users wouldn't see a map after finishing a run or long walk.

The update also brings trail runs and incline runs into Running Distance totals, and improves weight tracking with more clarity in trends. A connection problem between Health Connect and certain Android phones has been fixed. These consistent updates continue to enhance the Health app experience.
