The patch includes the August 2026 security update and fixes a "white screen" and "app freeze" in Settings, a camera app issue when opened from the lock screen, and a bottom floating bar problem in the Phone app. Additional improvements address blank screens in My Files, shortcut placement on the home screen, editor preview misalignment, screen flickering, and Wi-Fi connection stability.

Meanwhile, rumors on X from tipster Tarun Vats claim Samsung has started developing One UI 9.5 for the Galaxy S26, with an early build version ending CZH1. Vats notes that development began earlier than last year's One UI 8.5 cycle, but the update likely won't roll out until April or May 2027.

Beta 5 arrives nearly a month after Beta 4, which fixed issues like the S26 Ultra's Privacy Display routine and Live Notifications UI instability. U.S. users can expect the update later this week or next.
