Samsung has released the sixth beta build of One UI 9 for the Galaxy S26 series, following the fifth beta a couple of weeks prior. The update is 851MB in size and includes the August 5, 2026 security patches. It is currently available in Germany, India, Poland, the UK, and Korea, with a rollout to the US expected soon.

Participants in the beta program will see their device running build ZZHE after installation. This build fixes display errors with the Now Brief widget and home screen, photo-saving issues in Expert RAW 24MP at certain focal lengths, and a problem with the camera widget. A new feature, 'Touch and hold for AI select', has been added to Settings > Display > Edge panels.

When enabled, long-pressing the Edge panel peek window activates AI select; disabling it prevents accidental triggers while allowing AI select to remain as a shortcut. AI select functions similarly to Google's Circle to Search, enabling text extraction, GIF creation from videos, and direct image transfer to Generative Edit and Drawing Assist.
