Apple has released new AirPods beta firmware build 9A5347a for developers and public beta testers. The update is available for AirPods models featuring the H2 chip, including AirPods Pro 3, AirPods Pro 2, AirPods 4, and AirPods Max 2. This release arrives ahead of iOS 27's launch next month, which is expected to introduce several new AirPods features, some exclusive to AirPods Pro 3.

Apple's previous beta firmware, build 9A5336b, was released just two weeks ago. Users can opt into the AirPods beta firmware through the AirPods settings screen. The September event may also unveil surprise AirPods features, following last year's Live Translation feature announcement and the year before's Hearing Health features.

Today's firmware update includes support for upcoming iOS 27 additions and other potential changes Apple has planned for AirPods.
