Serena and Venus Williams will reunite at Wimbledon this summer after receiving a women's doubles wildcard for the grass-court Grand Slam. The 23-time major champion Serena, 44, is mounting a comeback four years after her emotional US Open farewell, while Venus, 45, has struggled in singles but found success in doubles this season.

Serena made her return at Queen's Club last week and is currently competing in Berlin doubles with Karolina Muchova. Venus captured a Madrid Open doubles title alongside Katie Boulter in April despite losing all seven of her singles matches in 2026. The sisters have dominated Wimbledon together, claiming six women's doubles crowns between 2000 and 2016 to add to their combined 12 singles championships at SW19.

British veteran Dan Evans missed out on a men's singles wildcard for his planned swansong, though he secured doubles entry with Henry Searle. Three-time major winner Stan Wawrinka and 2014 semi-finalist Grigor Dimitrov received singles wildcards as they prepare for retirement. French Open runner-up Maja Chwalinska earned her singles wildcard after the Roland Garros breakthrough.

Six British players including Emma Raducanu and Cameron Norrie gained direct entry, while six women's wildcards went to domestic hopefuls. The tournament begins June 29, marking a significant moment as two of tennis' greatest champions write another chapter at the All England Club.
