Twenty-one-year-old Jackson Koivun secured his first PGA Tour victory at the 3M Open in just his third professional start. He finished three strokes ahead of the field at TPC Twin Cities with a final score of 25 under par, setting a tournament scoring record.

Koivun's final round 66 saw him hold off a charge from world No 1 Scottie Scheffler, who posted a closing 63 to reach 22 under. Koivun had built a significant lead after a bogey-free 61 in the third round.

Having turned professional in June, Koivun's previous results included a missed cut at the John Deere Classic and a tie for 10th at the Isco Championship. This win propelled him to 70th in the FedEx Cup standings, securing his place in the final playoff spot with two regular events remaining.
