Australia's Lucas Herbert secured a record-breaking victory at the LIV Golf UK event in Staffordshire, following a strong performance at The Open. Herbert finished 30 under par, setting a new low winning score for the LIV Golf circuit since its inception in 2022.

His dominant performance saw him finish six strokes ahead of Tyrrell Hatton and nine strokes clear of Bryson De Chambeau. Herbert also established new LIV records for the most birdies in a tournament with 30, and the most combined birdies and eagles with 32. This marks his second LIV Golf win of the season, having previously triumphed in Virginia.

Herbert's rounds included a flawless 10-under 62 on Sunday, preceded by an 11-under 61 in the opening round. Reflecting on his win, Herbert stated his intention to carry momentum from his Open performance, acknowledging the challenge posed by strong competitors like Hatton and De Chambeau.
