Former NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom was ejected from Sunday's Women's NBA match between the Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever following a verbal altercation with Sky guard Natasha Cloud. During a timeout, Cloud began pointing and shouting at him while seated courtside. In response, Kanter Freedom stood up with arms outstretched and moved toward the court.

Kanter Freedom was wearing a T-shirt reading "WOMAN noun. Adult human female." This incident follows his recent declaration to enter next season's WNBA Draft, citing concerns over eligibility guidelines for transgender women players. Security and other Sky players intervened before the former Utah Jazz and Boston Celtics centre was escorted from the venue.

He posted on X: "I just got kicked out of a WNBA game for supporting WOMEN! Let that sink in, AMERICA!" Conversely, Cloud wrote on Threads: "To every trans kid/person, you are apart of MY community & tribe. You belong. You're loved..." Kanter Freedom reportedly spoke with police before exiting Chicago's Wintrust Arena.

The Fever won the match 113-90. Sky head coach Tyler Marsh stated that fans should come to enjoy basketball, noting that players deserve this respect.
