Jed York, co-owner of Rangers and Leeds United, has pleaded no contest to two charges following his arrest for soliciting prostitution in Ohio. The 49ers executive became a co-owner of Rangers last year through 49ers Enterprises, the investment arm linked to the NFL's San Francisco 49ers. In May 2025, a consortium led by Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises completed the takeover of Rangers, acquiring a 51% stake in the Scottish Premiership club.

York is not involved in the day-to-day running of Rangers. Both Rangers and Leeds have declined to comment on the legal matter. The NFL stated they are aware of the issue and will review it under the personal conduct policy.

York became a co-owner of Rangers through 49ers Enterprises, where he serves as chief executive and principal owner. The 49ers said they will not provide further comment as the matter has been resolved.
