Wrexham Transfer News: No Signing Guarantees

Manager Paul Parkinson admits there are no guarantees regarding new signings as Wrexham AFC navigate the transfer window. Following chats with Rob McElhenney, Ryan Reynolds, CEO Mike Williamson, and director Sean Harvey, the club knows exactly what positions need strengthening. However, Parkinson stressed that these targets are also heavily pursued by other clubs in the division and across Europe, making acquisitions difficult.

If desired moves fall through, the squad will rely on players returning from the treatment table. Josh Windass is set to return for Friday’s visit of Birmingham City before the window closes. Meanwhile, Libby Cacace and Ben Sheaf remain out, with the latter a key man in last season’s play-off push.

Wrexham have made three summer signings, including Crystal Palace wing-back Danny Imray, who scored the hosts' equaliser in their recent draw. Parkinson said he was pleased with the opening performances but emphasized that additions must fit the tactical plan rather than spending big for its own sake. He reiterated that while adding more quality would be ideal, the focus remains on maximizing the current group.
