The Riverside Company has invested in Medical Group, a French contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) headquartered in Saint-Priest, as part of a buy‑and‑build program targeting Europe’s fragmented medtech CDMO market. The deal marks Riverside’s fifth healthcare transaction in France and was sourced on a fully proprietary basis. Concurrently, Medical Group formed a strategic partnership with Selenium Medical, a complementary CDMO based in La Rochelle since 2009.

Both firms provide outsourced manufacturing services—including surface treatment, coating, cleaning, sterile assembly, cleanroom plastic injection molding, hydroxyapatite and calcium phosphate powder production, sandblasting, sterilization management, and consulting—to orthopedic, dental, robotics, soft tissue, and in‑vitro diagnostics manufacturers. Riverside will collaborate with existing management—Christophe Deycard, Antoine Beroud, Olivier Richart, and CEO Damien Uijttewaal—to accelerate growth through international expansion, R&D investment, and further acquisitions. The transaction reflects rising outsourcing demand, EU Medical Device Regulation complexity, and increasing product sophistication in the sector.
