Free Agency Moves
The New York Giants secured veteran receiver Darnell Mooney on a one-year deal worth up to $10 million, bolstering their receiving corps after losing key contributors to free agency. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Chargers retained quarterback Trey Lance with a new contract, providing depth behind starter Justin Herbert. The Tennessee Titans restructured wide receiver Calvin Ridley's contract to ensure his return for the 2026 season, demonstrating their commitment to maintaining offensive continuity.
Veteran Quarterback Signings
The Cincinnati Bengals added veteran Josh Johnson to their quarterback room on a one-year deal, giving them experienced backup depth behind Joe Burrow. Johnson's return to Cincinnati marks his second stint with the franchise, where he previously served as a backup in 2019. The move provides insurance should Burrow miss any time during the upcoming season.

Coaching Philosophy
New Orleans Saints head coach Kellen Moore ushered in a younger roster through free agency moves that impacted several longtime Saints players. The second-year coach's approach signals a philosophical shift toward building a team that aligns with his offensive vision and long-term plans for the franchise.
Free Agency Winners
The San Francisco 49ers emerged as major free agency winners, making strategic additions that addressed key needs and positioned them as Super Bowl contenders. Their aggressive approach in free agency, combined with existing talent, has significantly improved their roster for the upcoming season.
