Giants Sign WR Darnell Mooney to $10M One-Year Deal

The New York Giants have signed free agent wide receiver Darnell Mooney to a one-year contract worth up to $10 million, according to sources. The 28-year-old joins a receiving corps that includes Malik Nabers and Darius Slayton as the Giants look to bolster their passing attack. Mooney's signing comes as Nabers recovers from a torn ACL and full meniscus repair.

Mooney's addition addresses a need created when the Giants lost Wan'Dale Robinson to the Tennessee Titans earlier this week. Robinson led New York in receiving yards last season, creating a gap that the team has been working to fill. The Giants also signed Calvin Austin and re-signed Gunner Olszewski this past week to strengthen their wide receiver room.

Mooney struggled with injuries during his two seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, including a collarbone break on the first day of training camp in 2025. Despite the setbacks, he had a career year with Atlanta in 2024, recording 64 catches for 992 yards and five touchdowns. The Giants had shown interest in Mooney years ago before he signed with Atlanta, and now he'll look to revitalize his career in New York.
