Thermal Grizzly Unlocks WireView Pro II Potential

Thermal Grizzly has launched the first public software suite for their WireView Pro II GPU power monitoring tool, alongside an initial firmware update. While both are optional, they enable complete functionality when used together, including data logging and device configuration via PC. The software extends the device's capabilities beyond what's possible through its standalone interface.

The software package provides five distinct views: Overview, Monitoring, Logging, Device, and Settings. Users can access per-pin current distribution limits, export logged data for analysis, and configure device settings directly from their computer. Real-time data transmission from the device to PC allows for comprehensive monitoring of graphics card power consumption and current distribution via the 12V-2x6 connector.

The accompanying firmware update (v03) enables full software control previously unavailable with the original firmware. It also optimizes averaging calculations for more stable measurements and adjusts current imbalance alarm thresholds from 30% at ≥5A to 40% at ≥6A per pin. Users must delete previous software versions before installing the new package and can expect all settings to reset during firmware flashing.
