Valve has released a significant update for the Steam Deck client, addressing a range of controller compatibility and configuration issues. The update, rolled out on January 21, brings several new features and bug fixes that were previously available in beta versions. Key enhancements include the ability to filter your game library by language and accessibility features, as well as improvements to the user interface, such as reworking the Application Properties -> Betas UI and fixing issues with the 'Format SD Card' button.

One of the most notable additions is the support for new controllers, including the Nintendo Switch 2 wired controller and the Razer Raiju V3 Pro. The update also resolves periodic hang-ups when connecting the Nacon PS4 Compact controller. These improvements are part of Valve's ongoing effort to enhance the Steam Deck experience, making it more accessible and versatile for gamers.

The update also introduces several quality-of-life improvements, such as changing the default setting for public group chats so that members cannot send private messages by default. This update is not just for the Steam Deck; many of the changes will also benefit Linux and Windows desktop users, showcasing Valve's commitment to a unified gaming experience across platforms.
